CEC Finance appearing before the Public Accounts Committee over audited reports.

CEC Finance and economic planning, Hon. Jackson Rop and the entire department were invited by the Public Accounts Committee to answer queries over audited reports from the office of auditor general. The reports include;

1.Report of the auditor general on County Executive of Kericho for the year ended 30 the June ,2023
2.Report of the Auditor general on County Revenue Fund for the year ended. 30June 2023,
3.Report of the Auditor general on receiver of revenue for the year ended 30 June 2023.

The audit objectives are to obtain reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements as a whole are free from material misstatement, whether due to fraud or error, and to issue an auditor's report in accordance with provisions of Section 48 of Public Audit Act,2015 and submit the audit report in compliance with article 229(7) of the constitution.
The  County executive and the entire management were also encouraged to ensure that the activities and financial transactions and information reflected in the financial statements are in compliance with the authorities and that public resources are applied in an effective way. The chairperson of the committee Hon. Vincent Korir  of Londiani ward thanked the executive for the cooperation and responses in order to dispense the reports. The CEC and the entire team also appreciated the committee and promised to work together as the assembly oversights the executive.
